Queensland mining jobs expoIn response to the ‘proposed 38,000 new mining jobs‘ and also in an effort to make sure that the majority of these positions are filled by Queenslanders, the Queensland Government (in conjunction with local councils and major employers) is hosting a series of 1 day mining and gas jobs expos around the state.

What Is The Queensland Mining & Gas Jobs Expo?

The purpose for these career expos is to give people with an interest in getting a mining job:

  • Information On Training Courses & Apprenticeships
  • An Opportunity To Chat With Employers & Recruitment Companies
  • A Chance To Analyse Their Skills and Get Career Advice

Where Are They Being Held?

There are currently 5 Queensland Mining Jobs Expos being held around the state, as a part of the Work For Queensland Initiative,  find out which one is nearest to you.

  • Gold Coast – 19th Of October
    Location: Southport Community Center (Map)
  • Sunshine Coast – 21st Of October
    Location: Caloundra Events Center (Map)
  • Fraser Coast – 28th Of October
    Location: Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre, Maryborough (Map)
  • Cairns – 2nd Of November
    Location: The Sebel Cairns (Map)
  • Whitsundays – 4th Of November
    Location: Southport Community Center (Map)
