What Is Involved In The Course

The Resources 101 course is a pre employment program that will be run by TAFE Queensland.

On successful completion you receive ‘Resources 101 a Statement of Attainment’

TAFE Queensland recommend the completion of ‘CPCCOHS1001 A work safely in the construction industry (white card)’ in addition to this course (an extra cost).

Who Is Eligible For A Funded Place?

There will initially be 500 funded places available, and to be eligible you must fit the following criteria.

  • be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a humanitarian refugee.
  • 18 years and over
  • unemployed or underemployed i.e. less than 15 hours per week
  • not currently working, but seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self employment after completing the program.

Where Will The Resources 101 Courses Be Held?

As mentioned earlier, these courses will be held at TAFE locations across the state. Here are 6 TAFE Instutes that will be running the course:

  • Gold Coast Institute of TAFE
  • SkillsTech Australia
  • Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE
  • Tropical North Institute of TAFE
  • Wide Bay Institute of TAFE
